Last time I just had light snacks but had a proper lunch this time - and it was great! Bitterballen were tasty, and the Confit Tomato on Toast lovely! The Gourmet Burger and the hake were both delicious (and served with excellent home made chips) but the star of the show was the Cape Malay Lamb Knuckle curry - rich and spicy, and impossible to resist. A really lovely place to have lunch. Small warning - the service is friendly but patchy, so leave yourself time!

Run, don’t walk to Courtyard Café Canvas. The atmosphere is very laid back yet classy. The food was incredible and so were the portions! We had the Thai Green Curry & Cream Cheese Jalapeño Beef Burger. The curry’s flavours immaculately balanced, nice and spicy but not too much(nice big portion). The burger was juicy and massive, all of the flavours came together perfectly(perfect portion). The view is great and they have chess! The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Top tier service. And the music was great too.

A lovely find! Quiet, calm, peaceful space with amazing food. I had a sirloin steak with mushrooms and veg. It was cooked perfectly and tasted so good. Great size portion, and service was efficient and friendly. Lovely courtyard and view of the sea and mountain.

The meal I had was so delicately flavoured and prepared with such love and soul; such a complete flavour profile of tangy, sweet, salty herby and creamy, YOH. It was some vegetarian gnocchi dish with mushrooms and butternut. That would be the last meal I’d have before I die, though I thought I already did ‘cuz I WAS IN HEAVEN AHAHHAHHAAAA GO TRY IT YOURSELF I LOVE YOOOUUUU I had very sweet waitresses and the atmosphere is absolutely charming, darling; outside under the dappled light of the trees

Kalk Bay's best hidden gem! Had the most incredible lunch. Best Gnocchi I have ever tasted. Escape the busy Kalk Bay hustle and bustle - this restaurant is quiet and tranquil with a great relaxed vibe and really friendly staff. Couldn't recommend this restaurant more. My new favourite!!

The food was amazing. Some of the specials aren't always available but there's plenty of great options on the menu otherwise and the courtyard is a nice, calm spot to sit. There's also a chocolate shop with locally made products nearby, and an art gallery annexed to the cafe which was nice to explore while we waited. Plus the stroll up the road to get to the cafe has lots of nice little shops to stop in at.

Hidden gem! We had a group of 10 and all of us thoroughly enjoyed the gorgeous patio and food. Everyone’s dish was amazing and flavorful. You can’t beat the ambience of the serene courtyard. A perfect spot to stop after touring the peninsula. The owner and wait staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable. Just a lovely place for a meal. Highly recommend!
